Thank you for wanting to be part of the crew on Mythos Anthology. Please, take a moment and read it all the way through before deciding if we should moving forward.

Before I talk about roles, gear, or logistics, I want to be very clear about the kind of production you are stepping into. Mythos is a micro funded independent production, built from the ground up by a small group of working artists. We carry ourselves like a professional set because we respect the work, but the reality is much more direct than that. This is a community build.

There is no large crew. No departments waiting on standby. No one standing off to the side waiting to be told what to do next.

Most filming days it is three to four people making the entire production happen. On build days its one or two of us swinging hammers and building sets. This is a project where you see what needs to happen and you make it happen.

Mythos has been in development for over 25 years. What started as an idea in 1999, a conversation with characters instead of actors, has now become something real. Season one proved the concept in audio. Season two is where we bring it fully to life on screen.

You find version one, audio only, on all major podcast services, youtube, and www.MythosAnthology.com

This is not theory. This is already in motion.

My name is Victor Ciccarelli. I am the creator of Mythos Anthology, and I am also Captain Victor T. Mayfair, I bring over 45 years of experience as a production artist, costume designer, set builder, and filmmaker. If you want to understand the scope of what we are building, you can look at my work at www.Ciccarellis.com.

Production takes place at Cedar Rose Grove in Palmdale, California. This is not a rented location. This is My home, its where I live and work, and over the past year it has become the physical world of Mythos.

We have built lagoons, castle structures, gardens, Roman spaces, and immersive environments that we can step into and shoot in. New sets, including a tavern and hedge witch hut, are currently in progress. and in the comming weeks we will build three new areas.

You can see the space here: www.Ciccarellis.com/crg

Production is scheduled for two four day blocks in Palmdale, California:
August 25 through 28 and September 9 through 12

There is no studio backing this. No safety net. Every dollar comes from small sponsors and people who believe in the project. There is limited compensation, exactly as outlined in the role descriptions.

So the question is not “is this a big production?”

The question is whether this is your kind of production.

If you are someone who enjoys being part of the build, who likes solving problems in real time, who takes ownership of their work and the work around them, then this will feel right.

If you need clear lanes, defined departments, and a structure where your responsibility ends at a specific line, this will not be a good fit.

We are building something that has the potential to grow into something much larger. But right now, it exists because a small group of people are willing to show up and make it real.

If you read this and thought “yes, this is exactly the kind of set I want to be on,” then we should talk.
