Casting Calls at Mythos Anthology

Thank you for your interest in joining the Mythos Anthology team! While all roles are currently cast, we are always on the lookout for unique and talented voice and traditional actors to collaborate with on our upcoming productions.

About Us

Mythos Anthology is a non-union Web Series and Podcast. We are not a major production company, and our pay reflects our small-scale operations. That said, we deeply value the actors we work with and strive to produce content that feels polished and professional—despite our indie roots. If you love bringing characters to life and enjoy working on creative projects, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For

Voice Actors

We need character actors who can fully embody the essence of mythical and fantastical beings.

  • Examples of Roles: Sweet fairies, fierce dragons, angry trolls, and banshees with a truly nasty shriek.
  • Requirements:
    • The ability to create distinct, believable character voices.
    • A high-quality home recording setup (these are remote, work-from-home roles).
    • A voice sample or demo reel to showcase your skills.

How it works.

If you are selected for a role, we will schedule a detailed phone or video call to discuss the role and the technical aspects of the assignment. Following that, you will receive a script along with character descriptions and notes.

The scripts typically run 40 to 60 minutes, depending on delivery, with the lead character comprising 80–90% of the dialogue. You will be responsible for recording your lines at your home studio and submitting the audio to me. I will then edit in my parts. Payment will be discussed in full before the assignment begins. Please note that our pay rates are below industry scale, as we are a small production.

Before applying, we strongly encourage you to listen to a full episode of the Mythos Anthology Podcast to understand the expectations and format. While the characters change, the structure remains consistent. The podcast is available on all major platforms under Mythos Anthology, and you can also find it on our podcast.

Physical Actors

For our live-action productions, we’re seeking actors who are comfortable portraying mythical characters in full costume and makeup.

  • Requirements:
    • Must be located near our production facility (one hour outside Los Angeles).
    • We do not provide lodging or transportation, so proximity is important.
    • A willingness to bring larger-than-life characters to life through immersive performances in unique settings.
    • A demo reel highlighting your acting range and experience.

How it works.

We are currently filming on location at our facility in Littlerock, CA, approximately one hour outside of Hollywood. As a small production team, we ask that you set your expectations accordingly. We do not provide travel, lodging, or additional services. Our interviews follow the same format as our podcast but are filmed with video and include some CGI enhancements for the actors.

Scripts are lengthy and feature substantial monologues. While teleprompters and full-screen note cards will be available, many parts of the script, including unique pronunciations, will require rehearsal beforehand.

Our goal is to complete filming for an episode in 5–6 hours. Including costume preparation and setup, the total time on set typically ranges from 6 to 9 hours. As with our Voice Roles we are not a full production facitlity and can not afford scale for actors. If you apply for a role please do so with the expectaions of working on a small independant project.
